Gerasimos Platanas | Greece
Gerasimos Platanas is a self-taught photographer born in Corfu, Greece (1982). At the 2011-2012 he participated a semester course for analogue photography in Fondazione Studio Marangoni , in Florence Italy. His work has been featured in several fine art photograph magazines and he has collaborate with experimental bands for their artcovers like Art Zoyd and Galakthorro Artists.
My first photographs were taken around 2007 with the desire to be able to express myself artistically, through the influence that Andreï Tarkovski’s work had on me. Along the way, approaching photography as an art, through daily practice and reading I created my own virtual vocabulary and every year I try to discover and add a new letter to it.

Son travail a été présenté dans plusieurs magazines de photographie d'art et il a collaboré avec des groupes expérimentaux pour leurs couvertures d'art comme Art Zoyd et Galakthorro Artists.
Mes premières photographies prises vers 2007 avec le désir de m'exprimer artistiquement, à travers l’influence q'u’a eu sur moi le travail de Andreï Tarkovski. En cours de route, abordant la photographie en tant qu'art, à travers la pratique quotidienne et la lecture, j'ai créé mon propre vocabulaire virtuel et chaque année, j'essaie de le découvrir et d'y ajouter une nouvelle lettre.
