My name is Zak and I’m a photographer in the state of Tennessee in the United States. I had the idea when I was younger that I was going to be a filmmaker, but after becoming disillusioned with that world, I transitioned into still photography about 20 years ago (I’m 41). My images are darker, conveying a moodier aesthetic…probably due to suffering in my daily life with panic disorder. I hope to be able to get my vision across with simply my images, as I prefer they speak for themselves rather than lengthy explanations.
Je m'appelle Zak et je suis photographe situé dans l'état du Tennessee aux États-Unis. Plus jeune, j'ai nourri l'idée de devenir cinéaste, mais après avoir été déçu par ce monde, je suis alors passé à la photographie il y a environ 20 ans. Aujourd'hui, j'ai 41 ans. Mes images sont sombres, véhiculant une esthétique maussade… probablement en raison de mon trouble panique qui constitue une souffrance dans ma vie quotidienne. J'espère pouvoir transmettre ma vision simplement avec mes images, car je préfère qu'elles parlent d'elles-mêmes plutôt que de longues explications.
