My name is Flávio Souza Cruz. I'm a photojournalist based in the city of Belo Horizonte, Brazil. My main areas of interest are street photography and social documentaries. I'm currently developing a huge documentary about a famous Brazilian novel called "The Devil to Pay in the Backlands", written by Guimarães Rosa. I have been traveling through the backlands of my state trying to record the life of the inhabitants who live in the main locations mentioned in the novel. Most of these photos belong to this project. Hope you can enjoy this work.
Je m'appelle Flávio Souza Cruz. Je suis photojournaliste basé dans la ville de Belo Horizonte, au Brésil. Mes principaux domaines d'intérêt sont la photographie de rue et les documentaires sociaux. Je développe actuellement un énorme documentaire sur un célèbre roman brésilien intitulé "The Devil to Pay in the Backlands", écrit par Guimarães Rosa. J'ai parcouru l'arrière-pays de mon État pour essayer d'enregistrer la vie des habitants qui vivent dans les principaux lieux mentionnés dans le roman.
